I wouldnt trade through a middleman either, as far a he knows he could be your friend and your the one scamming him. It's understandable to be uncomfortable with a trade and to pull out.

Just cause he didnt finish a deal doesnt make it a scam. Otherwise i must get scammed an awful lot.

yeah, i know your not a scammer, but im just telling yahoo to look at it from the other persons point of view.

unless he did get an account out of it and YAHOO got nothing. then yeah, it would be a scam and he should be banned.
