How Many Minutes Can You Fit On A Dvd-r?

ok just wondering how many minutes you can fit onto a 4.7gb dvd-r or how many episodes of charmed as there about 40 mins an episode for girlfriend lol you know how it is,so anyone know either one would help ?

im not sure but i think u can put 4.7gb of stuff on there i dun think it matters about minutes but im not sure so wait for some more reply to make sure ok :ph34r:

That's a loaded question. You can narrow it by specifying what recording method, encoding method, equipment being used, etc. Do you want playback on your set top box DVD player?

yea wanna play it it back and a stadalone dvd player,gonna encode to mpeg with tmpge record with nero

120 minutes of MPEG-2 at 720 X 576 resolution can be fitted on a DVD-R.

I can't remember, but with a DVD+RW, you can fit 240 compressed minutes.

DVD+R is also 4 hours
