Doom 3 Alpha Question

Hi,

I have downloaded the Doom 3 alpha leak and applied the patch but when I run it I get a white screen and that’s it. I noticed that when extracting the .rar file the last file wouldn’t extract, it’s the one that ends with .demo

If sum1 could help and send me a link to where I can get this file or how to fix this prob that would b great.

i got it, tell me the hole name of the file that did not exract and i'll try to put it on kazza for u.

also what vido card do you have? this might be the problem.

It works real good for me. Anyways you dont really need the patch, although it will make things a lot better. But dont try to play the alpha, you will only get 4 fps if you get lucky. Its not that fun at 4 fps... Anyways, you guys should be looking forward to Half-Life 2 since it will have about the same graphix...

i'm afraid I don't know how to help but this site may. It has solutions to lots of problems people have had with the alpha.

What you have to do is look around and read. Don&#39;t expect to get spoonfeed-ed.
Here, went through the FTP download page and found it.
Can&#39;t assure you it&#39;s up and running and ready for you to snap it down at your max download speeds though. ;)

I had the Alpha for a while - I really doubt it will run on a geforce MX card - John Carmack publicly said the final release won&#39;t&#33; I have a Ti card and it ran like an absolute dog. It was interesting to see it, but not playable&#33;
