View Full Version : PC400 RAM.. What the shi.....

Ok so I needed to get PC400 ram for my uncle's computer at his pharmacy (I've never heard of PC400) and stupid me used froogle to just search that shit and bought it for 60+.

When I got the ram.. it turned out to be DDR400. What the shit is that? Is there even such thing as pc400 ram?

How did you find out that you needed to get PC400?

Perhaps it would be a good idea if you would post some details about the PC this is for. A motherboard make and model would be a good start.

I looked on the old stick of ram and it said PC400.

Tell us the product numbers on one of the ram chips and it should be easy enough to work out what you've actually got.

But I've never heard of PC400 memory either.

Does it fit? If so, there's a good chance you've got the right product.

Update! I put the DDR ram in there and it fit fine, the idiot manufacturer probably labeled or wrong or something but its all fine now. Here is a picture if you guys wanted it.
