It does get annoying when you have to enable it for every page you visit. But for other pages that open popups, or execute scripts, its a godsend. With this installed ive never had a popup.
A must have.

Don't Firefox and Internet Explorer both deal with pop-ups?

Firefox's Adblock deals with scripts, I think.

Its handy if you want to let a noob loose on the interwebs and not wreck your pc.

It was also recommended when firefox had a few nasty javascript vulnerabilities that had not yet been patched. Same for java as well since most people never seem to upgrade that even for security reasons.

Either ways all the cool kids have it so you must also.

You shouldn't. It's for newbs who don't know any better.

Unless you want to cripple your internet experience, in which case go ahead. :dabs:

I second that, the sites I've built or helped to build were heavy on the scripts, and if you blocked them, certain features would go all wonky, and I'm not sure you'd be able to figure out what happened.

EDit:
You are much better off blocking scripts after you know what they do, to be prepared you should just patch up your windows, av and so forth, and use stuff like the immunization feature in SpyBot, and Spywareblaster.
