Taped Top Gear though, obviousement, and also taped Big Brother on the upstairs VCR.

Top Gear won the battle of the ratings on Sunday, with more watching dramatic footage of Richard Hammond's car crash than the Celebrity Big Brother final.

At its peak, the BBC Two motoring show was seen by 8.6 million - 1.3 million more than the 7.3 million who watched Shilpa Shetty win the Channel 4 show.

Top Gear's average audience was 7.9 million, compared to the 4.8 million who saw its rival's first hour.

Is it sad that I've just cried at Richard Hammond's little speech at the beginning of Top Gear. I'm so glad to see the little fella's well and not all drooly.

I was pissing myself laughing during the entire roadworks "sketch". :lol:

When the cameraman leaned on the emergency-stop button at the tarmac mixing factory I thought I was going to have a fit :glag:





EDIT: I'm fairly convinced that all that was staged, but even so...
