just a quick question for everyone who downloads software. Is there a way you can actually get tracked down by downloading it? I'm very tempted to download Photoshop 7, but kind of hesitant to know if Adobe would ever be able to find out and track me down. When using a cracked serial number or some kind of key, does that reflect to anyone (Adobe in particular) that you've downloaded a hacked version? Also, are you eligible for updates to the product by using an illegal serial number? YOu normally have to register it to get updates, but does that work with a cracked program? Any responses appreciated.

Man, if you have Macintosh and you'll connect to Internet, they'll find you within few minutes...but when using PC, there's nothing to be aware of. Go and download whatever you want but don't do it with stabile IP (or host mask)... It's better from dial-up, because it has everytime new IP, so almost no one can find you...

How would companies possibley be able to pick you out from 1000's of people that use p2p networks every day?

use stuff like spybot, go online with your firewall up and open the software, it will soon let you know. Unsure for the updates :lol: Don't be to greedy!!!

Hey there Berryman

I hear you, you are a smart individual who is looking to save some cash like the all of us

Photoshop v7.0 $609.00 US
Photoshop Upgrade $149.00 US
Photoshop Prices as of today by Adobe.com (http://www.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml?id=catPhotoshop&sourcecode=106506)

Downloading from K++ $Priceless$ :D

Do you really have $758.00 US Dollars to shell out for a photo-editing software? If so, go for it.
Or you can do as I did, K++ has it readily available for download at approximately 164MBs. Update that resolves some bugs, etc. is about 12 mbs
Although, it's not neccessary for function unless you plan to use some of their really advanced features. Find your self a keygen and the update shall install like mine.

Been Using it for 4 months now.
Happy Downloading and don't be scared! Be a Man! ;)

No wonder there's so much piracy, these prices are ridiculous for the average working person :angry:

They can find you if you share any of those files, although if you download with sharing turned off the odds of them finding you are virtually nil. (But that's very hard on the network for lots of people to NOT share.)

If you get Peer Guardian + its latest ip block update, you're probably reasonably well-protected.

Ps, Illustrator and Indesign r only really used by profesionals...... word is mostly used by ppl like u & me...... so they sell more.....

i'd rather d/l it to start a carrier maybe.. then when it gets to become a company... purchase actual licenses.
