To the Celtic Team,

The Players, The Management, The Coaches and all of the rest of the staff. And to the Supporters who went to Seville and all around Europe.

Thanks for That. You couldn't have put any more in to it.

Top Man of the Day to all of you.

Here, In america, 'Football' (or as you call it 'American Football') Is not kicking a ball in to goals.

Ah that explains it. You're an idiot.

Football has been about for in excess of 100 years. The Team I support - Glasgow Celtic - was formed in 1888. That's 115 years of history.

The most popular spectator sport is Football. The biggest sporting event in the world is the World Cup.

If you seriously think I will accept your cultural imperialism you are sadly mistaken.

I actually like your game and go to watch it on a regular basis. However outside of the US it is really nothing more than a minority sport. You call it what you want, no-one else really cares.

Come on you guys... Don't start arguing about this, we are from different countries with different cultures and let's just live with that. :D

This is just football (Yes, football, foot + ball says everything) and the game already ended. In my opinion the victory of Porto was completly deserved, although the Celtic guys fought really well, but I admit that there can be different opinions. ;)

Better luck next time (in case of playing against a non-Portuguese team, eheheh  )!

Such emotion over a pointless exercise of kicking a ball into a net.

Who gives a crap about soccer, it's stupid!

or baseball or football or basketball!

My point, life must still be good if we can pretend that these diversions have any importance. When we have real problems, we will realize what a luxury it is to give a shit about any sport.

Remember 9/11, do you remember if your favorite team won or lost? Seems almost absurdly pointless, eh.

I want to live in a world where people get all pissy about nonsense.

Just a comment about how hard Celtic played (only one of them sent off?)
Derlei (the one that someone said dived and play acted), Deco, Jorge Costa, Costinha and Alenitchev got all injured, I wonder why...

Interesting, nobody spoke about this.

hypoluxa3k
05-22-2003, 01:23 PM
Costinha pulled a muscle.
Jorge Costa got subbed cos he's an old has been.
Derli? injured? HE SCORED 2 BLOODY GOALS!
Deco and Alenitchev (?)

it's not Celtic's fault they are wimps. ;)

Yes, Costinha pulled a muscle but specially Derlei (not Derli ;) ) and Deco suffered several hard fouls (two Celtic guys incredibly were not booked their second time, thus not being sent off).

Jorge Costa, yes he is kind of old but watch the game again (I believe it would be very painfull to you :P ) and see what happened to him.

Btw, what about that situation near the linesman in the Silver Goal time that brutally brought down the Porto guy (which hit the ground with his head) and the referee didn't even show him a yellow card? He completely forgot to play the ball.

Oh well, the final result didn't show the difference between the two teams (a difference of two goals in the score would be fair enough), lucky for you to have Larson (very good player). Porto didn't outplay Celtic like against Lazio (4-1) but it was a great game. Good luck in the Scottish League. :)
