I have XP on one hard drive and Vista Beta on a partition on another hard drive
The hard drive with Vista on it is divided into two partitions one partition is just for storage and the other is for Vista. I have tried to use Partition Magic to remove the Vista partition and make one big partition on this drive but it won’t let me.
Any Ideas other then formating the whole drive?

you cant remove an OS(Vista) when you're using it, in you're case you must operate with windows XP and then format the vista partition then u can merge your other partition with it.
the other problem you'll be facing it is OS selection at the system startup, you'll be having it even you remove vista, to remove it you need this:
VistaBootPRO (http://www.vistabootpro.org/track/click.php?id=2)

Thanks for the link for vistapro

I wanted to do it the opposite way. I wanted to keep Vista. Very happy with it :)

hmm weired, title say "Want to Remove Vista"
anyway in that case u must merge other partition with vista partition not vista partition with other.

I have the Beta version and it is extremely buggy and apparently not a valid copy
so I can't get any updates to fix the bugs so I figured I might as well remove it.

when i removed vista i booted into XP and ran computer management>disk management and then deleted the vista partition and you can then use partition magic to resize the xp partition

but your bootloader will be messed up so if you have the XP cd you can boot from it and go into recovery for windows installation 1 and run fixmbr and it should be fine
