Can anybod tell me what is a .tar file?

Dont they come with feathers? :blink:
Seriously, i think they are packed files, use WinRar or similar to Extract. I could be wrong too...

Same as a zip, rar, gz...

Yup they are just naother form of compressed files, not as popular though. Your best bet to extract them is to use WinAce (http://www.winace.com). Or if you want you can download it off Kazaa. Cheers :D
