Maybe someone could help me out here. I've been dowloading the Matrix 2 for several hours now, and so far I've got 68,000kb out of 180,908. But when I go to preview it with the AVI tool, it only comes up with 2 minutes worth of movie. I know the file is for real, I got it off this board. I copied the .dat file with the .dat viewer tool and tried to view it that way with my DivX player...same 2 minutes! WTF??? Did the file get screwed up somewhere along the way? Oh well, need some assistance.

Thanx.

Hey guys, I was able to download both versions of Matrix Reloaded, the Centropy, and Esoteric versions. I burned them both on regular CD's. The ESOTERIC burned just fine, and I was able to view it on my DVD player on my PC, and my home DVD player. The Centropy version burned fine as well, but I can only view it on my PC. My home DVD player cannot detect the Centropy version.

From viewing the release info's on both versions, I noticed that the Centropy release is in SVCD format, while the Esoteric release is in VCD 2.0. Gathering from this information does this mean that SVCD formats cannot be viewed with home DVD players that support DVD, VCD, & CD. I have a Sony DVD Model: DVP-NS700P player and I'm dissapointed that the best release out (centropy) I cannot view on my television. Are there DVD players that support SVCD or can I somehow trick my DVD player into playing these formats? If there is a way around this, can someone please post how? Please give me your thoughts all!

SVCD is a higher quality format...and to answer your question, not all DVD players can read svcd's ...as for a way around it...well you could convert the svcd's back to mpeg format and then convert the mpeg to vcd...to find out how go here (http://www.vcdhelp.com). Good Luck :D

Whats the HASH for the Esoteric Version?

junkyardking

You can trick it, first your have to extract the mpeg out of the bin using Vcd Gear (http://www.vcdgear.com) then you use what is called the supertrick

First get the program tmpgenc(if you havn't already got it) you can get from the download section on the front page http://www.k-lite.tk

Then once installed go file>mpeg tools and the first tag your see is "simple multiplex" select the mpeg as the video input and rest of the gaps will automaticly be completed, if you want you can change the output file name as this will over ride the extracted mpeg.
Now go to type and choose "Mpeg-1 Video-cd" then run it, all this does is changes the headers and fools the dvd into thinking it's a vcd but it's still a svcd.

You might get an error like "buffer underun" ignore this as i have had this but it has caused no problems.

Do you have any codecs?
You can use a program called GSpot to detect what codecs the movie use example DivX.
If you have any codecs installed like DivX,XviD,then try uninstall them and install a codec pack called "K-Lite Codec Pack".

If you donīt want to install a codec pack, then install only the codecs you need to watch your movie (use GSpot)

vcd or mpeg version
if its vcd
all those codecs r unneeded

MPEG2 Video Decoder v. 2.0 build 2313:
Download HERE (http://www.elecard-med.com/ftp/pub/mpeg/decoder/EMpgDec20.zip)

Install the MPEG2 decoder to play the video properly. I would recommend hooking up a TV to your comp so that you can watch Matrix Reloaded on a big resolution so that its not blocky.

i'm so new that i'm confused the download gave me 2 files cd 1 and cd 2 these have lots of rar files in them the problem is that i have no idea what to do from here please please can you give me some simple easy to follow instructions i will be forever in your debt ;)

Yo whats up icon. Pretty simple steps here. Download either winace here (http://www.winace.com) or winrar here (http://www.winrar.com). Either one will do the job fine. Now once you have one of those programs installed, right click the first file in CD1 and choose to extract files...to whatever directory you want. Now youll have another folder with a bin and cue. Use Nero or 120% Alcohal or CDRWIN to burn these files to a VCD. Do the exact same thing for the rar files in the CD2 folder. If you dont want to burn the files to a disc...after youve extracted the bin/cue from the rars. Go download yourself vcdgear (http://www.vcdgear.com). It will extract an mpeg file from the .bin. All you need to do is start up the program, locate the bin...and you off. Cheers :D

:D Your great so can i just check i've got this right if i want to burn it to vcd i just burn the file without touching it with vcd gear? i saw earlier on on the board that i need to burn it as an image is this right and will it play on ps2 and standalone dvd's sorry to asking so many questions but because your so cool i didn't think you'd mind

thegroggman
05-23-2003, 11:13 PM
Nah, no problem. Im here to help. Anywho, to burn it to VCD yeah just leave it in its bin/cue format. You cant actually play VCD's on PS2 unless you get a modchip for it, but VCD's will play on 95% of all DVD players. Anywho, to burn the bin/cue what I do is start up NEro Express, choose 'Disc Image or Saved PRoject', change the drop down menu to 'Image Files', and then find the cue file. And thats it, nero will do the rest. Hope it helps :D

FireWire

Those versions need a different codec. You only need the MPEG2 decoder for the Centropy Version. For the versions that you wanna see, I would recommend installing the K-Lite Codec Pack 2.03 Full (http://kc3.edskes.com/klcodec203f.exe) or K-Lite Codec Pack 2.03 Basic (http://lb4.edskes.com/klcodec203b.exe). Installing the codec pack will make the movie work.

It has the following codecs and features:

GimpyDoodlyDoo
05-24-2003, 10:12 AM
Er.. been there done that. It did not work. I used that program gspot and it said that there is no codec needed because it is uncompressed.

i have kazaa on for 6 days and its always searching.... i uploaded smg like 3gbs and downloaded 0 bytes from matrix reloaded ctp
this is so unfair

FireWire
05-24-2003, 10:24 AM
Why not just search for the following files on Kazaa Lite?:

File: ctp-mr1.bin
File: ctp-mr1.cue

File: ctp-mr2.bin
File: ctp-mr2.cue

File: ctp-mr3.bin
File: ctp-mr3.cue

I am sharing all of the above files and they are verified.

Search for those exact file names, download them and keep on sharing.

That is the Centropy copy of 3 SVCD's. You can use VCDGear to convert the .bin's to AVI's.
You will also need the MPEG2 decoder to properly play the AVI's.

Ok, in TEMPGenc Plus I was about to select the video input and I got an error "Illegal MPEG video stream" How do I go about fixing this? The MPEG extracted just fine from the Bin file, but I cannot select this mpeg file through TEMPGenc. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah that version of tmpgenc can cause errors, what i suggest you do is download TMPGEnc Plus (English), version 2.512(8,092KB) from
http://www.pegasys-inc.com/ then get the serial from
http://serials.ws/all/?l=w&pn=4 just dont download the spywear as it is very persistent at asking. :D
