Every now and then I get what appears to be a fractal pattern appear in my eyesight, have been told it's a form of migraine.
Its bloody annoying, but quite pretty,no pain with it,but I can't figure what triggers it?
Anyone else have the same problem?
When its at its worse I can only see stuff in my peripheral vision everything straight in front becomes obscured by the pattern.:pinch:

I used to get that a lot when I was in school. Figured it may have been the stupidly bright neon striplights they had everywhere. When it came on really bad, I had to hold onto my pals bag or hand to lead me to where I was going.

Do get it still sometimes, but I try to live in the dark these days.
Plus I don't smoke as much weed. :whistling

Yeah I get migraines and sometimes with strange visual effects.

If it's new for you then go see a doctor.

it's called a scintillating scotoma. I got those a few times when I was pregnant and it freaked me out. My eye dr. assured me all was fine. It's definitely a weird visual and takes about 1/2 hour to go away. It's caused by a spasm in a blood vessel in your eye.

Its also caused by high colesterol - little pieces of which are passing through the blood vessels of your eye --- maybe worth getting your levels checked.

That sounds mint Grip! scary, but mint. I've been seeing a rather boring small black dot when I close my eyes but the optician says there's no point checking it out until I've had the baby, so thanks also to backlash!

On a completely unrealated optical topic I have a friend who is totally blind in one eye. One xmas whilst partying hard on cocaine and skunk her vision came back for a couple of days and then went again. We spent ages testing it out by covering her 'seeing' eye and getting her to describe various objects with her blind eye. She explained all this to her eye specialist in the hope that it might give a clue to how she could get her vision back and he told her that it was physically impossible! :dabs:

Maybe some brain links were overstimulated (as we all know, often happens when binging on teh charlie) and the input previously going into the good eye was somehow projecting in the wrong part of her brain?
