I have this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148140

With Perpendicular Recording Technology and a lower price.

I completely second that recommendation. I've heard nothing but good things about them in regards to noise level and performance. Also, the 5 year warranty is a nice touch.

I want to get a new drive, too. That drive looks great with a nice price, but I don't have SATA. I feel like it's the standard now. Should I just get a SATA controller or something?

The 5 year warranty would sell it to me...I just lost two hard drives on the same day....no warning...nothing. Down 700 gigs now ...ah well will just have to save some pennies then wont I
