Is it just me, or do almost all private trackers have the same layout? Almost all seem to have the filelist layout. And TLs forum looks and functions like filesharingtalk.com. They aren't very imaginative, are they?

They all use the same sourcecode. Making them different usually results in buggy performance and such...

Well you could always start your tracker code and forum code from scratch or you could use what's available. It depends what you want to spend your time doing.

Ok, that makes sense. I was really more curious than bothered. It just seems that every time I sigh up for a new tracker, I see the same thing. Also, I have to admit that I was a little scared when I saw how close TL is to Filesharingtalk because I plan on trading/giving a LOT of those invites.

Potuk is forum based, it's different from all the others. But it's true, most sites resemble each other a lot. If you use the same source code, you get similar sites. It's the content and the users that make the difference.

Acctually tbsource was a modified version of bytemonsoons source.
(alot of improvements but it was original bytemonsoon source when they started it, which later evolved to tbsource)

nah, i think torrentbits was the first, after it was closed, they have publised their source code ect.
bytemonsoon source was the first. Torrentbits used a modified version of it.
