View Full Version : Vista ! No way I'm waiting for GoogleOs

From my reading and study of these boards etc, it seems that Vista is not only not worth buying, but is full of design drawabacks.

(I am sure they will fix any major bugs and the lack of drivers will fix itself over time)

So I am going to wait for Vienna or more usefully a new OS from someone such as Google. I am sure with their resources (money) and expertise (programmers) and their experience (in search technology) they could write a small fast basic Gui OS for Intel/AMD machines.

Then others could add all the little extensions that we like as in the old days of Dos and 3.11.

What is Google's phone number ? .... I wonder if they would pay me for the idea ? a couple of mill would do

erm. open source? linux? ubuntu,,? I'm sure if google do bring out an os it'll be a linux distro.

vista has only been out what, a week? ...or so. anyway, i have some complaints, but it's probably due to the fact that it's just new and i need to get used to it. i DO have dual boot going on and pretty much run vista as primary OS, but when playing games i boot to XP. maybe the games work maybe they don't or they do, but not as good. well, that's why i have XP still installed. doesn't matter. i've gotten pretty much everything working on vista so far and it seems really stable. give 6 months and more driver support will be available and it will be much better.

I've always heard rumors of Google creating an OS...Kinda wish they would, I'd like to be a beta tester as I am a fan of Google products.

I imagine it would be like linux, too.
