How do I record Internet radio or other sounds that are playing on my PC.
I have a SimaTel HD audio on a Dell Inspiron 6400 and I am trying to record into Cool Edit Pro. I am sure I was able to do this before. Is there some kind of copyright protection crap being used now. if so is there something like Audio Hijack for windows?
Any Ideas?

For internet radio, search for streamripper

I used a program called No1 Audio Recorder. ***.digitalsoundrecorder.com.

This can record any audio stream that you can play on your PC.
There is also a program by Magix called "Webradio Recorder e-version v2.50" See review at ***.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1869348,00.asp

I tried both of these but neither one worked for recording internal sounds
all I have for recording options is Line-in and Microphone

I downloaded few proggies recently they should be the best
Snooper.v1.35.35-SCOTCH
wavepad masters edition v3.05
NCH.Swift.VRS.Recording.System.v5.03.Incl.Keymaker-ARN
Audio.Notes.Recorder.v6.3.63070103.WinALL.Incl.Keygen-BRD
NCH.RecordPad.Sound.Recorder.v2.11-ONE

Look them up on public torrent sites

VRS should record radio as well as wavepad
don't know about the rest yet

I use streamripper for winamp recording for fairstars http://www.fairstars.com/mp3recorder/index.htm for anything else. It will record anything you play through your speakers in essence.
