:O As numbers and statistics have always interested me, I thought it high time for a role call

We have at this moment 133,457 members and still counting..so this could be interesting...post an image too if you like, anything will do...

My FST member number, is a very insignificant, 37002  ... ( although that 2 might have a lttle significance )

and yours :)

Actually, he got it right I think, it's just that he wasn't the first one with that number.

The profile number is the number in which you joined, counting deleted accounts.
Either that or something got screwed during the switch.

Mine was 38k-something, I think, but my profile number is 45773.

I do see what you mean but the "order of joining" number is not noted anymore so only relevant to 5 or 6 ppl who think they recall what there's was - and that's if all the IPB versions used kept a "true" order number and never re-generated..

...a deleted day on the server is the same in principle as deleting a few accounts and posts manually, yet the former has now lost order numbers.. so that system was no more than a "profile number" since the first time the server gepped a day (or regenerated in updates etc..) ..

you are right to question the world you find in this way, and may feel like you see light in it but you will not really know the greater significance between the systems if you blink when you catch server changes, updates, software changes, and deleted hours in the glare.. like I try to show you in this post and every one before it, it doesn't take all day to recognise the sun is shining and the sooner you recognise that profile number is not only the new world's "member number", but it always was anyway - the more you can transend your thoughts to the truth beyond the html and see the server and the concepts in the systems as they truely exist - one and the same, imperfection through the eyes of the fatalistic but beyond the delusion of a false past it is only real truth in the great history of fst/klb member number systems..

That's how I know any numbers at all.

samsamsamsam

that's just an earlier state of the evolving reshaping numbers system .. the truth you seek never existed unless you find the initial conditions but the system is not deterministic in that way.. you have to know the nature of the beast before you can tame it.. embrace the dynamic evolving beauty as it is and enjoy. Resisting steps towards a truer reality due to a false promise of what those numbers were once believed to be is futile... FUTILE!!!!

Snee

The number I had since I joined, for every day until we switched to VB > the arbitrary number I was assigned when some muppet decided it was a good idea to switch to inferior software :snooty:

The number I had since I joined, for every day until we switched to VB > the arbitrary number I was assigned when some muppet decided it was a good idea to switch to inferior software :snooty:

That number was not even an accurate account of order when it was given, someone else's lost/deleted account might have had that number the week before if there was a bad backup or a generating update.. there were perhaps a matter of days in the initial primordial klb when they stood for anything other than account representation i.e. profile numbers. All parts however broken down, be it software systems, chunks of time between updates/glitches, are really all interdependent on each other and exist in a dynamic way. There is no stand alone truth outside of that context.. maybe theoretically but there isn't in this reality - that is why the system that is integrated into the dynamics is the only real true representation of the great soup that is the history and connection between accounts, software, and ultimately what is klb/fst in essence.
