PS3, XBOX 360, or Wii?

They are the three contenders in the concole war. PS3 with Blue Ray and such games as MGS4 and KillZone 2. XBOX 360 with HD DVD and Halo 3 and Gears of War on its list. AND Wii with motion sensing controllers and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Who is the best in your opinion?

The only one I want to own is the Wii, otherwise I'd spend the money on some PC hardware.

360 is pretty awesome online. all the headsets are the same and everybody has one, so there's no twatting around and giving up on voip every time you play.


on the downside, most games are configured for DSL to host without choking upstream, so that's 8 players max. there's also incentive for publishers to kill their own dedicated servers as soon as possible, something which wouldn't happen on PCs

The Xbox is down below because pretty much, with the exception of a few things. All the high profile games can be played on the PC. The Wii is kinda lacking right now in original titles aside from these. Also, like GepperTankins said, The Xbox 360 seems to only be able to play up too 8 or 16 players as there MAX. I'm use to Battlefield 2 where I can play over.....damn, how much......36 players? But at least 360 HAS online Multiplayer.... Wii doesn't

Duke Nukem: Forever
Silent Hill
Resident Evil
Final Fantasy


None of them have any of those games, but once one does, I'll head over there.

Otherwise, I'm sticking to PC and retro emulation

I have the wii and am very happy with it because of the solid gameplay experience it offers, the games available for it are not yet that numerous but quite diverse, the virtual console adds a lot to that plus it gives a good taste of nostalgia ofcourse. For high definition graphics I'll stick with my pc.

Yea you can. Check out XboxConnect and XLinkKai.

Both of those will link your xbox / xbox360 to other players on the internet for free. No modding or anything needed.


On a side note, what good is it to compare the wii, xbox360, and ps3, when the ps3 isn't even out everywhere.

Why would there be A++ games out for a system that hasn't even had the chance to get a userbase. There would be no point in investing all that money (developing a top notch game) before you even have a market of potential buyers established.

Does anyone agree with that point?

Agreed, it's not really an honest comparison but atm it would be better to buy either a wii or an xbox360 imo, since they already have a reasonably large userbase.

Whether or not the ps3 will get on its feet remains to be seen. Especially the 360 will be a good choice if you want polished games since they are about a year ahead in development for the platform. The wii is getting there but still feels a little rough around the edges with some games.

personally i think xbox 360 will win over PS3, the most important thing - the price, xbox already have an edge liao. But, i think the i biggest winner will b Wii, too bad it will not b available here in mlysia.

Sony always had the best gaming devs on their side.
Nintendo wii is original, but for how long ?
Microsoft is some what investing more money for game development in japan, that a good thing.

For now, I'll stay with the ps3 option, but, if the xbox 360 get hacked and homebrew free like the xbox is, then my choice will be different.. ;)

it wont be long now before the 360 is hacked for homebrew check out xbox scene .... but the current order is 360 ps3 wii .......by 2008 predicited that wii will be #1 with the 360 / ps3 close

yes oldman, I saw the news few days ago, I wonder if its from the same guy that showed a linux logo at the hacker contest around last december..

Ps3 didn't launched well. But I would not worry to much for now. After all, there isin't any must have games. When metal gears 4, FF XIII, Gran turismo and the new title by the Ico Team will be released, sellings should improve alot.. Wii is nice, but I suspect that this little beast isin't strong enough to kept the lead in console war.

The with the Wii is that I don't predict many people would want a shitload of games for it.
