this is similar to my horizontal lines post i figured i post again and explain better. at first i thought it was my monitor but then i tried another monitor and it still had faint horizontal lines while in 1024res or higher. the lines are kind of faded white/clear/grey color. looks like your watchn a shitty tv channel and lines go up and back down then up real quick and back down again like they're scrolling. its pissing me off i dont know if i can take it back or not i've had it for almost 2 and a half months  .

The lines you're talking about are more than likely horizontal tearing, I get that when playing games and sometimes when watching TV on my comp (media center) and that's due the fps of whatever you're doing is higher then your monitors refresh rate and the frames go out of sync. What kind of video card do you have btw?

In my limited experiences with Video card overheating , the computer shuts down and restarts or games freeze while playing .
