Just got the e-mail with the link to download today, and I'm liking the look and feel of it..

What do you think? I did think the stickiness of the video at times was annoying (buffering probably.. are there any tweaks possible to help this?), but apart from that I really look forward to it's development in the next few months/year..

Your thoughts and views?

I thought it was okay - it really depends on how much video content they can get.

Some invites are been given a way here for anyone who doesn't have one:

Yeah that's what I thought.. It's the content that's going to count.. Otherwise there's no point trying to boost downloads etc..

I got the invite a few days ago and I thought it was a decent program but there arent many channels that really appealed to me. It definitely will depend of the content

I don't like the fact that it doesn't support win2k. I have that on my main box. My laptop has xp, but the RAM is just lower than the minimum required, but it still loads. When I try viewing videos, it just shows the crystals bumping into each other, it could be my slow connection (isp limited till next billing date).

Do you know how their invitation system works?

I was invited there but have no invitations so far to invite a friend...

Maybe if you explained what exaclty it is....your talking aboot. For those not in the know...

"Hey has anyone tried DingoBerries? I just tried it today and it's ace....I especially like the new flux capacitor. Please discuss."

But anyway, lol no I haven't tried it. :whistling :noes:

And if I see another invite thread for this over hyped pile of sh1te, I will scream!

So is it any better than existing p2p-tv applications, such as tvants, tvkoo, or pplive?

The fact that it's been developed by Zennström and Friis means that it's definitely being overhyped.

its says it has dealt with many movie studios, that means its not going to be free and while its p2p their going to use our bandwidth to share their contents, now why the heck should i pay for giving my bandwidth for their benefits http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/images/smilies/blink.gif

Edit: oh wait its says free, that doesn't look right. movie companies and FREE, they cant go along http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/images/icons/icon9.gif
only time will say what is the catch http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/images/icons/icon3.gif

The sticky thread titled, The Joost Invite Request Thread (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/internet-programming-and-graphics/t-the-joost-invite-request-thread-173786) would probably be the best place for that. :P
