I&#39;ve heard references to the Illuminati in the last few years, but it wasn&#39;t until Deus Ex until I started to pay attention about it. Seems that the Order of the Illuminati actually did exist (probably under the alias Knights Templar as well, but there&#39;s no apparent connection apart from the fact that one appeared a century after the other died out), and it amazed me how much power they managed to accumulate without being actually well-known. The urban myth also intrigues me in that despite "disbanding" in 1900, they could still be around and no-one knows. That kinda made me stick to the Illuminati alias.

That, and I was running out of ideas for aliases (I already had CAce, Magnum, Omega, and Nostradamus besides others), so I got the first one that seemed good :D
