Do you ask a mod in irc for them? If so, wouldn't that just piss them off and get me banned?

Don't come back and kill me if this doesn't work, but if I really wanted one, I would donate, and then when sending the paypal details to the admin in charge, mention I'd really like one invite for a friend. You'd most probably get it.

dont ask for invites, if you read the annoucement page it says they will give out invites whenever they feel like it. asking for an invite will get you warned

They rarely give out invites but it doesnt mean it isnt possible to get one :)

right....so nobody really knows how to get any (unless you're friends with the mods). The paypal idea isn't bad, however. I just wanted to know if there was a system in place that I was unaware of, i guess not.

Some people with many GB's of upload receive invites there, and they also need to be trusted by staff etc :)
