View Full Version : Things we need for the Lounge

We need B3ta's ignore function. Crabgirl told me about but I haven't seen it in action. Basically when you put someone on ignore they are completely removed from your forum viewing experience. You can't see their posts, you can't see that they've posted, nothing.

Also the ability to ignore all these new minor user-groups. They don't have any authority so why can't I ignore them if I so please.

Agreed.

Also, when I put someone on ignore - I'd like them completely banned from all sections of the board except for the torrent invite section.

That'll learn them.

I think it should be set up so that if I ignore someone, then I can't see their posts, and neither can anyone else.

The whole " This message is hidden because Alien5 is on your ignore list (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../profile.php?do=editlist)." thing is retarded. If I put somone on ignore what do I care if they cunting well make a post?

I agree. Fix the ignore function.

Mr JP Fugley

This should be in the EATB section. It's actually a decent idea.

And also I don't want to see that someone has posted something for me too ignore.

natedogg

are ya going to ignore me?:(

Snee
03-07-2007, 12:38 AM
That Krohn-person talked about a global ignore function an admin could put people on.

Global ignore + b3ta-blocker = dew.

Otherwise, I reckon it's a really good idea, just putting what you want in.

And as of very recently I'd also like the possibility of ignoring mods when they are posting outside of their world.

EDit: especially ones I already had on ignore before they got "promoted".

Also the ability to ignore all these new minor user-groups. They don't have any authority so why can't I ignore them if I so please.

It would also be absolutely awesome if we didn't see threads made by ignored people.

Did b3ta have that too?

CrabGirl
03-12-2007, 09:43 PM
Yup. You ignore someone on there, you just can't see their posts, so you don't even know they exist.

Snee
03-12-2007, 09:50 PM
That would rawk pretty hard.

Getting rid of not just posts, but entire threads would be so great.

Actually a team of Time Bandit-esque midgets that go back in time and erase the offending person from existence would be a good idea.

Its going to be weird seeing large threads with only a few posts.

Agrajag
03-25-2007, 06:52 PM
Or not seeing threads at all.

Snee
03-25-2007, 06:57 PM
Even having to see posts made by annoying posters is better than having to see their own threads

Agrajag
03-25-2007, 07:16 PM
Yeah but if you ignore them to ignore their threads then you ignore their posts as well.

I would like to have the option to ignore their threads but read their posts. I know that sounds mad but it makes sense to me.

Anyway if I have to out and out ignore them to stop seeing a whole page of inanity so be it.

Bumping a shedload of old threads in one go should be an infractable offence. To stop them doing that as well.

Agrajag
03-25-2007, 07:16 PM
Oh and well done to Tesco, for listening to the Hoi Polloi.

Snee
03-25-2007, 07:19 PM
Actually, the way it is now for me, I see their posts in other threads, but not their own threads.

Are they all invisible to you now?

Agrajag
03-25-2007, 07:26 PM
Don't know I haven't checked.

I know the threads have gone, but I haven't checked the posts.

I just assumed that they would still be ignored.
