This may be something directly related to your previous questioon about processes running in the background. Depending on your write speed it should not take more than 15 minutes I would assume. I burn at 16X and I can burn a single layer in around 7 minutes. Nreo has been known to have error issues. I have noticed Nero errors out if I have too much crap going on at the same time. But when it does, I usually have a crap load of stuff running at the same time.

same here, 15 min or so, using Nero.

but, Nero eats up memory. check your task manager.

shut down programs you aren't using when attempting to burn.

It takes me around 15 to 20 mins burning at 8x. I dont like to burn them at 16x always seem to have some errors with skipping.

Yea, it takes me about 13 minutes with 4x since i don't like to risk a coaster burning @ higher speeds. It may have to do with background apps. Try burning with nothing but the burning program.

I was going to say 11 inches, then decided to read the first post.. It all depends what sort of DVD disk you use too.. on mine the -R seem to take longer than the +R

i don't know what the question at hand is asking really. it takes me 6.5 mins for a data dvd, but it takes anywhere between 105-120 mins to burn a dvd. which consists of converting then burning a high quality dvd.

You must be transcoding as well, that's the only thing I can think of that would take so long, or burning at a ridiculously slow speed... You have to tell us how u are using it (nero)...More detail req!

lmao

Please, if you have nothing to add other than "LMAO", then for the love of God: f*ck right off, you worthless piece of sh1t.

slow burning is a well known problem: it usually happens when your DVD-drive is reverted to PIO mode (it should use UDMA ideally). you can check it in the device manager under the IDE-controller.

To add to what Colt said, it sounds as if you are trying to encode to a new format as well as burn. If you are strictly burning an image though, you should really look into getting more RAM or upgrading your burner's firmware.

I've had DVD's delay so long that they just fail and make coasters, added more RAM, never happened again.
