View Full Version : How to play .rmvb files?

I downloaded some stuff from rmvbusters in the format .rmvb. How can i play them? I couldnt read anything from the site as they are not in English. :P
Try googling "Real player" :)
or even better download realplayer aternative

huh! I had real alternative player installed in my comp.I removed it last week only. I will try those coecs. Thanks for the help Geo7!

If you have real player installed the videos should work in WMP also.

AFAIK WMP11 plays rmvb format

Media player classic plays them also.
Media player classic is the default player of the real alternative
If you download media player classic alone it wont play real media files.
If you download real alternative it will install media player classic in order to play real media files there. The real "alt" is the codec and the MPC is the player

OMG guys... Like sert wrote: you have to install the codec! After instaling it, You can watch rmvb files in many video players...

Thanks guys. I didnt play the files yet. Today i will get on with it. I tried vlc and media player classic. But i too feel, i need those codecs to play it in any player.
