Hello,

First post here. Not sure if this is where I should be posting, but I was wondering if I could request an NZB for the movie Braveheart. I want to get my hands on a DivX/Xvid .avi copy of the movie. Having a bit of trouble finding a copy.

In the meantime since I am new to Usenet/Newsgroups I am going to work out how to upload my movies.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

thanks guys. tried downloading the second one. but when i download through altbinz app the download reduces size as if its downloading but the download status bar indicator does not increase, nore does a folder get created with the download in it.

Check the "log" tab and see what it says.

Then it's not on your server. Most probably too low retention.

What provider do you have, 10 days isn't that much.

I should have remembered that from you previous post, sorry.

Check if you can get anything else from the same group that is 10+ days, but I guess the program would tell you if the group is missing on their newsserver.

I'm able to download the files (Giganews).

I appreciate your help with this by the way. Wondering if its worth me actually purchasing a usenet subscription through Giganews ontop of my ISP...

You should give it some time and see if you REALLY miss anything.

I'll reupload it but it takes some time. I only have 1Mbps out :P

Lets say you find only one thing per month you cannot download, then it might not be worth paying for another server.

Ah yes this is true. And I suppose asking for what Im having trouble finding is always a possible solution. Thanks again for your kindness.

Hey I managed to start downloading it!

I added 8 new server connections to alt.binz:
SERVER: news.easynews.nl (PORT:119)
USERNAME: [email protected]
PASSWORD: beta

Seems it works through this service...
