I was trying to download a torrent from Sct... I got this errormessage: "Your client is banned!!!" with µTorrent 1.6.1 and Azureus 2.5.0.4

Which clinet should I use if not one of these? :huh:



And why did they ban 'em? :cry:

they didnt ban utorrent for sure.
maybe youre using some crappy mod or something...

They didn't ban it. It's probably a random error, just try reconnecting.

Usually trackers just dont allow beta builds...so might wanna look into that and turn off the autoupdate as UTorrent is probably going to be going in a different direction since they sold their souls.Also it could be a random occurance.

Try logging out of ScT, clear your cookies and log in again.

Also, reload the torrents.

Just log into their IRC channels and tell the mods or helpers about your problem, they will help you out.. As fat as utorrent 1.6.1 is concerned, well as you all know that utorrent has been purchased.. I'd strongly recommend you all to keep the installer of 1.6.0 handy, cause I cannot see the future of 1.6.1 too healthy. I myself had talks with the mods of some trackers and they are quite happy if I continue with 1.6.0

how hard is it to reinstall the client and add a +1 to the port you are useing right now

Works fine for me as well. Then again if we were already in the peerlist on the files were seeding/leeching since before their update our clients technically would still work fine. If they did update their blocklist once we reboot or close utorrent ect.. then it would be blocked like yours.
