I've just recently discovered torrent sites, after downloading Matrix reloaded from suprnova.org (which is now down). Alot of the other sites I have tried either time out when BT download starts or the site itself cannot be displayed.
Is this a common problem? & can anyone recommend good torrent sites for movies, games etc.

Well their has been quite a few topics about this and a lot of the bittronnet websites have gone down because of a certain pirated file.

Are all websites I use which are all down right now I haven't had bitronnet for too long and that's why the list is so small :( .

I take it by this you mean the the matrix reloaded, apparently there's been a few articles about the matrix producers flexing their corprate muscle & getting these sites shut down. Typical! I just discover Torrent sites and the bastards shut them down.
Dark days ahead for file sharing?

Funny how only the big sites are being affected and the small ones just keep on going...

the problem is, most of the movie torrents (not sure about the other torrents, i didn't check) on Ground Zero a.k.a. hotfire are from torrentse.cx. so the torrent files don't actually do anything.

I didn't know that. I am getting Bruce Almighty just now. I started it from the UK site I posted first and it is still working. I have 19 peers and 16 seeds just now, so it should be ok for the full download.
I don't get great speeds because my upload is capped at 128k

Your upload does not matter, but someone else upload does! if you can up at say 1mbit and the other dude is only 128k don't expect to get faster then 12-13k/sec thought. but the other dude would be getting 100k/sec while you going    slow turtle hehe. its like a 69 sort of thing, you know. you rub my back, i rub your back LMAO!!!

With Bittorrent your upload does matter. The faster you upload the faster you are allowed to download. That's the way the system works. As I can only upload at max 15k/sec then on average that is the max I can download at. It doesn't work the same way as Kazaa, it's more similar to eMule in this respect.
Someone on 128kb will never get 100k/sec, no matter how fast I am. They will max at about 15k/sec

I don't think your upload matters much. My upload max is about 13kb and my download is on average around 60kb.
