why are you americans messing up the english language?

What if it is gay, though? I remember a time when saying one said one was gay it wasn&#39;t automatically assumed that they were homosexual. Alas, that time has passed, it seems.

languages evolve, that doesn&#39;t have to be negative. I think different versions of one language only adds to the character of that language. In highschool (I live in Belgium), we had the chance to choose between British English and American English. I did both and it was very interesting to see the differences and the way things evolve.... :)
