new to the xbox360 scene. dl. play. live

as the title says i'm new to the xbox360 scene...

i'm sorry as i'm sure it's been asked about 10,000 times but can someone point me in the right direction for what i need and how to go about being able to burn and play xbox360 games that i 'aquire' from 'backups'.

i'm sure i have to mod the firmware somehow and i'm sure i need to find a newsgroup site to burn download em from. do i need a dual layer dvd burner? and will this interfere w/ being able to play xbox live at all?

thanks... any help or guides would be great.

Yes all 360 games are on dual layer disks so you'll need a DL burner and DL media to play them. As of today, all backup games can play on Live (assuming you can get them to work in the first place).
