Now I don't want to be flamed by the guys that have been around here for the last 400 years and I have seen some of the threads along the lines, but I got this email from my ISP today.

I wasn't aware I even had this program.

No. 2
Even though I now find I do have it, It is in a folder I do not share.

No. 3
I thought by using Agnitum Outpost I was anonymous.

I am in Australia so not sure if the same laws apply here as they do elsewhere.

BTW I sent my ISP this reply, got no response so far,

Dear Valued ISP ,

It has been brought to my attention that you have Unauthorized Distribution
of the following thing: SPAM.
Please note that this type of illegal activity online is a breach of MY Acceptable User Policy AUP.

This email is an official warning advising you to cease this type of
activity. Failure to resolve this issue will lead to my account termination.

Note: that this type of activity can be prevented by third party software.

My main problem is that my ISP is one of the only ones that gives a low cost service in my Outback part of the world.

So, Do I have anything to worry about?

Yeah i want to see a screenshot of one of these letters as well. A lot of people are talking about getting phone calls, but obviously they can't prove that to us. I want photographic evidence! :D

I still have the email on my system but unsure how I would post that here or what it would prove, what I posted was a direct cut and paste.

So basically you are saying don't worry, am I reading this right, I have two problems, ??

1, I'm being conned.

2, My ISP is being conned.

I have a great dial up for my part of the world, where I work 10 miles down the road we get a 20 k connect speed , on a good day , if the wind is blowing the right way, I can't afford to lose the connect I've got.

Why not send then a reply that says that you never have had "Unauthorized Distribution" of that file.
You can also point out to them that if they bother you with this type of harrassment again you will cancel your service.
There must be some other service provider for you.

Remember this people. We are the customers. We are the ones paying.

In a folder you don't share, this sounds like a virus, do a search for xms32.exe on your system.
