I'm looking forward to the trailer as we'll get to see where it's set, I would have thought Carcer City as it it always mentioned in the games or maybe even London or Europe.

There's always the Washington DC area. There's a second metropolitan area 30 miles north (Baltimore).

That's lots of area to work with. The DC landmarks could be represented as well as Baltimore Harbor and Druid Hill Park (Baltimore Zoo). The Washington Metro area would would be huge since it would encompass parts of Maryland, all of DC, and Northern Virginia. Baltimore actually wouldn't need to be in there.

The only other ones I can see based on popular metro areas would be Chicago and Boston. Texas doesn't really have any popular areas, Florida has been done, and Cali has been done.

I'd be surprised if they went overseas since The Getaway has done London before (but then again so has GTA along with New York, San Francisco, and Miami in the original).

Maybe it's good time to do London since everyone will be clamoring to buy a GTA on a next-gen system. Americans won't identify with it though.

Every 3D GTA released so far was based of off the GTA III engine. I'm guessing IV will be way better graphics wise if they are smart. :)

I saw the countdown a little while ago, can't wait!

I think they might choose Carser City, they have mentioned it many times in the different GTA games from the beginning. My guess it's a Detroit or Pittsburgh like town.

Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Las Vegas, and San Francisco have all been done, plus London 1969, and I hope they don't choose that for GTA4.

I think they should make it semi-international, have a national border between two of the cities. That might add a cool perspective.

I've never been to Toronto, but I live in Vancouver, west coast Canada! Woo! We have a big chinatown, little India, little Italy, and lots of other ethnic regions here...and the pot :D

After San Francisco, Vancouver has the largest population of asians in north America. America is melting pot immigration policy whereas we try to be mosaic.

Anyways, I just finished Vice City Stories and I am itching for a new GTA! Come on San Andreas Stories first so I can pass the wait for GTA4 :lol:

I can see them trying incorporate "moves" into the game or have some typa shooting minigame that I couldn't care less about playing.

It really pisses me off that Nintendo didn't at least add 720p/1080i support for the Wii.

I hope for a few things:

first off a pc version..then

1. lots of mini games
2. lots of different ways to role play (san andreas was loaded with this)
3. huge open map with no loading times (like san andreas only bigger)
4. hidden easter eggs (maybe bigfoot in the forest or a ufo in the sky? hehe)
5. wildlife (it'd be cool to go in the woods with a sniper rifle and shoot a deer or dodge sharks in the ocean, maybe be able to go fishing in the ocean on a boat or something)

personally i found the game pad inaccurate for aiming both on PS2 and PC so I'll stick to my mouse and my joystick for the choppers and jets.. Take2 said they will be much more maneuverables.. :happy:

As of yet, no GTA games have ever been announced for PC in their initial release, but every game has been ported to PC about six months later.
