Not sure it is out on DVD. One of my favorite all time suspense/horror flicks. Really creepy and man they gave the a kick ass ending too. I will check around and see if it is on dvd, cause if not chances are it isn't out there.

Indeed. I just searched k-lite and have yet to find it, so yeah get that movie out there!

And there are quite a few true movie buffs here, no doubt.

Yeah i totally agree 'the thing' (1982 version, not the old black &white one) Rocks!!
I remember it as one of the first horrors i saw, i was about 10 and it scared the shit outta me! but even now its stands up to repeat viewing, defo a horror classic and just a shame that John Carpenter made a load of crap after that (besides 'the fog'). Bought the collectors edition dvd myself a few months back, worth makin a sig for m8, if proper movie fans have got any knowhow they'll download it.. ;)

the game really does justice to the movie's qualitys.

it would make for a good sequel, no? :)

yes it would make a good sequal if done well. IE if Mr Carpenter himself wrote the story and the original 2 remaing survivors at the end of The first Thing played in there then some how incorporated new ones into the movie without making it cheesy cuz even nowadays the Acting in the movie isn;t cheesy very original and well acted movie.plus with the technoledgy of today mixed with John Carpender imgination would be brilliant. if all this is done then even before i see it i give it 2 Thumbs up :)

although i'd like to see carpenter do a sequel, at the same time i dread it cos he's lost it!
i mean, have you seen Vampires?...

yeah due to my high expectations from carpenter i was slightly let down byt Vampires. but still im sure if enough effort on his part and everybody elses it would still be alot better then Freddy Vs Jason. not that i have n e thing against it but still u know im sure if it was worked on it woudl be almost as good as its Original
