Pop Up Stopper Pro by Panicware

Easy, cool, small, toolbar integrates into IE, no retarded taskbar or anything.

I used to agree on that until I discovered Popup Block (http://www.popupblock.net).
PM me for a "nag screen solution" :)

From WebAttack:

Popup Block is an add-on for Internet Explorer, that blocks all unsolicited popup windows from appearing while browsing. The program is smart and automatically recognizes popup windows that were triggered because of a mouse click. It further uses advanced scripting techniques to block certain calls made to the IE scripting engine, thereby allowing you to disable even advanced popup techniques like floating DHTML and Shockwave ads. In addition, Popup Block comes with several other features like an option to disable all sound within IE, Whitelist, popup logging, hotkey bypass and more. One feature that we found very useful is the Browser Normalizer, that allows you to force IE to display all toolbars, even if the window does not show them (many Java scripts). Overall, a very effective popup killer, that comes with more features than most others - at a reasonable price!

Am trying (right this second) Zero Popup 7.5. Amazing! Better than Meaya. Only 133KB. Got this Speedup IE feature, seems as fast or faster than Opera! Just started so we'll see. Gotta get one of those IE add ons with mouse gestures maybe. :)

i've tried pop-up block and smasher

Pop-up Block doesn't stop dialog boxes, but it does what it supposed to do - Smasher blocks just about everything, trying to figure it out right now to stop it blocking my cookies :(

FreeSurfer's obviously the best. Not only is it a great pop-up blocker, it "locks" your homepage, so hackers can't change it to some porn website. And while you're at it download Fresh Download, which is the best download manager.

But the thing I hate about pop-up blockers, is say you went here:

http://spiderman.sonypictures.com/

It would block the main website's flash window, so from time to time, you have to create exceptions to some pop-ups.

heh, just noticed a message in my inbox, Smasher blocked the pop-up that alerts me to a new message

Norton is probably the best in my opinion.

Zone alarm is good blocking pop-ups too but I leave it off so I can tell when my site has pop ups or not.

I'm also very pleased with Zero Popup 7.5 (http://www.tooto.com/popup-killer/index.htm)

If you like Meaya's Popup Ad Filter like I did you should try it.
Also try Popup Block (http://www.popupblock.net/?__________________________________PM_me_(riesdepies)_for_a_"nagscreen_solution"). They're both great.

I use Ad-aware + Spystopper and it stops all the annoying pop ups. It also depends on the settings I set, if you set it too high, it blocks out a lot legit site inc. hotmail.

Proxomitrons Da Bomb! I've just started using it but it looks very promising :). It also works with all browsers and not just Internet Explorer ;)
