Do I have to do anything to keep my account active? I don't want to lose it!

Every time you browse a page on the web site we record the date and time. If that date is six weeks or more in the past, your account will be deleted for inactivity regardless of how many torrents you might be using. So, if you visit the site on January 1st, you're good until February 12th. If you were going to be away for two months, you'd need to have someone browse one page while signed in as you in the middle of that time period.

This rule does not apply to users who have achieved Power User+ status or have donated. If you don't want to have to worry about your account expiring, a one-time minimum donation of five euros will prevent it forever. Or, you could upload a minimum of 10GB of data while keeping your ratio at or above 1.05 and you'll become a Power User+. For most people it's far easier to donate.

Also I haven't found oink staff bad. I have read complaints but never experienced any mistreatment. Oink staff is dealing with hundreds of cheaters and they listen to any unbelievable excuse, so if they have (even only) indications that someone is cheating they ban him immediately. I would say they are strict but fair and some mods have helped me in the forums

OiNK staff think they're great and don't let you question anything, but to me BitMeTV staff are far worse. The only staff member I've had good dealings with there is the Sysop, but tequilavip and xr4ti in particular are high-on-their-horse douchebags. They give warnings/bans for stupid-ass things like forcing manual update even if you never did it :frusty::angry:

to be honest i dont think oink staff are that bad. Its their site, if you break the rules you get punished, i think thats fair enough. I cant say much about oink himself but ive read toomuchtimes posts here and he seems like a nice guy&has helped my out before, so i cant complain.

the staff are fair though, and the banning for not keeping a ratio is 100% automatic

I have been a member of OiNK for almost a year. I have never had any problems with the staff, moreover, I very appreciate them for all they do, especially TooMuchTime . They made a great site and put an infinite effort to keep it as it is and even try to make it better .And remember, if you don`t like the rules - there is mininova.
My choice is TB , but it`s not on the list . A bunch of n00bs they are.

Think the staff is great at Oink for the most part. Only thing that annoys me there is the 192 taken above V2 even when higher bitrate.

My vote goes to ST, which is not on that list either. My one forum post/small rant there persuaded me to never post again.

The staff are nice at oink they are just strict and that is the reason oink is the best maintained site with the most music, appz and sheetmusic files out of any other tracker. that attitude keeps the site well maintained with many cool features that no other site has;)
