Silly queston, but will Office 2007 run on XP

Does anyone know if Office 2007 runs on XP.

I have not seen any references to this. I would like to get Office 2007, but do not want to get Vista, even though Bill has offered me a free copy ! (dur)

you probably know, but office 2007 documents aren't any good to old office versions (xp, 2003). just something to keep in mind in case you use it for school or whatnot.
