hi i am planning on buying a nvidia gefore 6500 for my pc but i want to know is pci video cards compatible with pcie computers?

If your motherboard has PCI slots, it'll work. Almost all motherboards do. If you have PCIE slots though, you'd probably be better off just buying a PCIE video card like a 6600gt, which wouldn't be much more expensive.
