well here is my thought
I download songs from kazza and listen to them, and if they are really good, I'll buy the CDs. If we don't buy CDs, no one will produce them. but we can't waste our money on some junky music, that's why I have this thought. and I am following it, I've bought some good CDs. (it's different case when you buy DVDs)

;) Its the kids growing up now on all of this and they knowing nothing but how to Download Music for free that bothers me.They will never know what it is like to hang out in a Record Store. But will not get into all that.

well...when I really like band I'll buy their CD's.....most of the time I download music to listen to it once or twice, to get an idea of it.

Unfortunately, we don't have big records stores in Belgium. I've been to Paris once and spent half a day in the Virgin Records Store. I loved it.

I still buy my favorite artist cd's. I like the cd booklet that usually comes with it, I like to read the lyrics and such. Plus now when a new cd comes out they usually have a book or dvd that goes with it, that makes it worth the $15-20 bucks.

yeah I wish it was $15 20 buck where I live its double that in this country

I buy cd's but they are expensive.. and the occasional stolen cds do happen... I haven't bought many cd's for a while because I have a lot stolen... and I just don't want to waster money and then get them stolen again...

Yeah i still buy cd's cause you can go to record stores and get brand new CD's for $13 (Australian that is)...but its only in the main part (where as at the moment im 14 hours away from a cheap record store)..So for the meanwhile i just download CDs (god bless kazaa and soulseek)...The last CD i brought was meteora and im still undecided whether i wasted my money or not  ...last really good CD i brought would have to be audioslave's album... :D

We can download everything we like on SoulSeek and Kazaa!
I do that to listen to an album before i buy it and for sharing at the same time! ;)

But just like today i ordered 5 Children of Bodom albums! at Bol.com in the Netherlands. (http://www.bol.com)
I like the originals! Most rip versions break between tracks.. i hate that!

So YES i buy all my albums! :D

Rarely buy CDs, they're overpriced and half the songs I will not listen to more than 1 maybe 2 times and it's rare for me to even use my CD player nowadays. I just play it straight of the PC.

I'll usually listen to a leak and decide if I want to buy it or not. I love that Circuit City and Best Buy compete for new release prices so I can almost always get a new album in release week for $10-12

My preference is to download the CD, then - if I like it - buy it on vinyl.

best of both worlds.
