There is a glitch were the pitch of all sounds gets very loww and it's not because i got the adrenaline pill.. it becomes slow in the music, effects, everything! I have to goto audio options and click the stupid music volume to temporary get it to normal pitch...
Also when it rains, it starts to pop and click.
The game FPS is 42 so it runs smoothly.

I have a fast computer, so i dont know why it's doing this!! must be a sound driver problem.

My comp stats:

2.0ghz AMD Althon
384mb ram
64mb nvidia geforce 4
80gb hd, already did a defrag.. no help, also did CheckDisk... etc etc
I got the NoCD patch, so i dont use the cd (not a cd-rom problem)
OS: Windows XP Pro SP1 (I allways keep it updated)
Not a speaker problem, cause they play sound and music on all other applications normal.

That update is only for the Graphics problem... arrrg

I also already read the ReadMe and it said delete the config file in gta: vice city, then start the game again and it creates a fresh new one.. still no help.

Please help

i had a problem like that, there was a low-level humming, to fix it i had to change a sound setting in the options section, the original setting was "Creative SB EAX II"
i changed it to "Creative SB EAX" (something like that).

and it works fine now.

hope u understand it, and hope it works

u have a creative sound driver/card.. Mine wont allow that setting

I can ether use Direct Sound Emulation.. or Rad sound something (the rad one is worse).

I had a humming in mine too last week, just restarted the puter an it was fine. Don't know what caused it though.

mine is still there whatever I do.

Guess I'll run a huge fix-up/clean-up on my compter today.

May help....

I bet rockstar is working on a sound patch for the game.
