Ratio Cheating

I'd like to start off by saying that I have no desire to ever become a ratio cheater.
So i have seen this in the forum of why people are banned and in rules of every torrent site I have ever been to but how does it work? How do people go about "ratio cheating" and convincing the torrent site that they have a better ratio?

usually if i am unclear on a topic i do as lysine stated go to google or if i want false info i go to wikipedia. why would you start a forum thread on this? I mean sounds like a trap to me. You get some sucker on here to tell you how they "ratio cheat" and then report them to the forum admins?

I would go with the above advise, i know some guys who got tempted with cheating and all they got was being banned either disabled and i think you don't want that happen to you or do you :P

your client reports back to the tracker on what data you have been sent and what data you have sent out.

cheating involves inflating the amount you have uploaded figure.

You shouldn't be tempted either way ... just know that all the torrent sites know about all the cheating methods and will ban you fast, especially Oink.

Cheating programs I've seen either catch the packets that your torrent program sends to the tracker and edits the upload amount data, or send fake announces.

Note: I never have and never will cheat on my ratio, I just read around.
