Oh really ? :whistling
Sorry but different programs for different applications , convert an avi , and burn ? I like Vso or a ISO ,then I use PowereIso , Nero is fine too if i just burn to cd . Its hard to explain to friends that just started D/L movies , there's so many variables and hard to learn in a few posts .

Nero: burn any data to dvd/cd. good for re-encoding dvd vids and burning xvid/avi to DVD. Also make DVD images
Alcohol 120%: Burn disk images to CD/DVD. Not as versitile.

i think ashampoo is the best, nero has lots of crap that you would never use bundled up with it which is why i hate it so much.I just use ashampoo along with convertxtodvd and i can burn any music or movies.
These two programs take about 1/40th the space of nero.

Ashampoo Burning Studio is very good. Nero have to many functions for use. In the past I used Nero but now I burn with Ashampoo only.

Magic ISO is very good 4 experienced users and has many options,
same with img burn (but thats more for films etc.)
Nero + Alcohol 120%. Depending on what to burn.
