Just got my 7900GS today, and thought I'd start a new thread about 3dMark scores as I got some sweet results after OCing this baby for a bit.

Stock speeds: 450core/1380mem = 73=7663 3DMark05, 4349 3DMark06.

OCed: 687core/1630mem (wow this baby can REALLY oc...) = 8874 3Dmark05, 5493 3Dmark06.

Simply amazing for a card that's $170 CAD.

Just curious, what's the idle temp on that card?

Amazingly only 42C after OC.

Stock only 40C when idle.

Nice, my 6600GT idles at 44-45C stock.. it's probably not worth OCing it :mellow:

What res were you running it at? I usually run at 1680x1050. I'll get my scores when I get back home.

Edit: Isn't GT faster than GS?

Yes, GT is faster than GS. But the 7900GS overclocked beats a GT at stock easily.

And I run 3dmarks at default settings because I only dled the free version, so 1024x768, no AA no AF.
