Halite BitTorrent client
Halite is yet another open-source BitTorrent client and is based on the excellent libtorrent library from Rasterbar Software.
What makes Halite stand out is its remote control interface that allows its users to easily monitor and control the application from a mobile phone.
Features
* Multiple downloads.
* Displays more detailed information for the selected torrent.
* Connection limits both global and per-torrent.
* Transfer rate limits again global and per-torrent.
* Trackerless torrents (using the Mainline kademlia DHT protocol).
* IP filtering with eMule ipfilter.dat import.
* Minimize to tray with transfer rate summary.
* Association with ".torrent" files.
* Option to limit the number of instances to one.
* Estimated time remaining indicator.

Looks like it could be good with more development, especially since uTorrent is now "evil." However, I don't see any features for encryption, which most people consider very important.

I agree it looks good but still needs some further development.
The good things are, it's open source and it looks like uT (the interface).
I think the features it's lacking now (e.g. being able to download from multiple trackers, protocol encryption etc.) will surely come in the future.
It's still in an early stage of development and it's not even a 1.xx version...

Why are people saying µtorrent is now evil, it's the same as it ever was regardless of who it partnered with. Otherwise it definately does look like a good upcoming client.

I was just joking, hence the quotes. ;) Some people really have a problem with the principle, but if the current version works well, I'm fine.
