is there any program that converts these "best" meaning least loss of quality...I mainly use convertXtodvd but my dad uses nero or winavi...do all these programs give the same output or is there a superior one im unaware of?

I'm no expert on the subject, but most will have a compression rate, or quality setting. Just make sure you're leaving it on the best and you should be fine.

I use Nero and I don't notice any loss.

thanks...im not really asking how to do as i know how. i was simply wondering if there was something that was better than another. but i suppose as long as you have it at highest quality its all the same.

They should be pretty close in quality. You may want to try dvdsanta and see how that works. I have never had a quality issue when using it. good luck m8

Use TMPGEnc,

Its not a one click solution, but It gives great results.

The FilmMachine was the program that i used to use. I havent used it a long time, but i always got good results. It's not as automated as ConvertX but i got better results with it.
