I like them alot but mostly the rather serious ones, not like Rambo - actionmovies
but like Savin Private R. and such

the best i´ve seen is Kellys Heroes though it has a lot of comedy in it, it´s still good as hell

This topic is right up my alley. War movies have to be my favorite genre. so here goes: Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart,Midway,Tora! Tora! Tora!,The Longest Day, Band Of Brothers,Black Hawk Down,We Were Soldiers. The list could be longer, but these are just my favs. I have seen every one of these shows countless times.

Top War Films:

Tora, Tora,Tora - Classic.

A Bridge Too Far - Excellant ensemble cast.

Where Eagles Dare - This film kicks arse!!

Cross Of Iron - Proving the Germans didn't have it all good.

Das Boot - Another great film.

Full Metal Jacket - I saw the film sets for this in London when I was younger.

Apocalypse Now - My favourite, I think.

Cockleshell Heroes - Frogman antics!!

All Quiet On The Western Front - Thought provoking stuff.

Guns Of Navarone - A ripping yarn!!

Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket would be my favourites now, and I just watched "The thin red line" last night, which I might have to watch a second time before I say it is brilliant. It certainly is disturbing.
Cross of iron is a good one as well.

Flying Tigers was also a good one. But then again I also really love the movie " to hell and back" the Audy Murphy story. So many good old WWII movies out there.

I don't watch many war movies. The one that I still remember is the Das Boot Director's Cut. A most excellent film.
