iPods are fucking awful. I've had two and both have died. No way I would ever recommend one. I bought a relatively cheap player called a Sansa Express which I love.

The Zune is riddled with software discrepancies and errors. Junk.

Just my 2 pennies.

I guess for the price Zune is better but iPod has got the brand there. If you can afford, get the iPod.

I won an ipod nano in a raffle, and I love it. Particularly the menu structure. I have had no problems with it whatsoever and I've had it for ~8 months.

Are those the only two you would consider buying? If not then I would recommend a Creative. I have a 3 year old 20GB Zen that has been flawless and I use every single day, pretty much the whole day, while I’m at work. I’ve suggested Creative players to friends and the ones that purchase it are satisfied. They’re much cheaper than an iPod too… as far as the Zune, I would rather buy an iPod than that crap.

i have 2 ipods currently, i for 3 years and one for about a year now.
i have had no problems at all except the battery on the older one. but if you know how to crack open an ipod (which is easy) then its not a problem. i highly suggest an ipod over the no name brands only because of its popularity. i had a really old mp3 player which the company doesnt support anymore so its a brick now. and you know apple will always have support for ipods for a long time to come.

Neither.

I got Zen Microphoto 4GB.

Its been working allrite for about a 2 months now.
Got me a better plugs tho, them originals was not sticking in my propellers.

Creative drivers and software are rather crappy thought,
sort of "barely works" kinda way.

So, find something else if possible.
My 3 cents.

I have a Creative Zen Vision:M. Its the best. Plays divx, xvid, has FM and mic. And great battery life.

Would it kill the IPOD makers to make an OFF SWITCH. I hate trying to hold in stop for 5 seconds but then turn it back on again without knowing it really pisses me off!

I need a new Mp3 player because me ipod is full. Don't know whether to get a new ipod or something else. Ipods are pretty good. How big are Zunes compared to ipod nano?

Zune all the way... if u like smaller capacity players.. choose Meizu M6 www.miniplayer.info, meizume.com . Sound quality is kicking azzz. Bass is greatest i've ever heard.

I bought a Microphoto 8GB for wifey based on a recommendation from Cheese.

She loves it. You can easily replace the battery on it too.

However, the drawback is that it uses a hard drive versus the flash memory players use now for the same amount of memory.

On topic, I have heard Zunes are crap and would buy an Ipod over it.

I'd buy a Zen Vision over them all.

I have 3 ipods and (1 was a present and 1 i got for dirt cheap from a friend) I love them, and use the two i dont listen to as small usp HDD's, unless i go on a trip then i load one up for the battery use of a friend. i tried out the zune and couldn't stand it. it just wasnt as intuitive as the ipod. Im not the type to have much brand loyalty, but the ipod is simple, very connectible, and you can find them for cheap on ebay/craigslist.

all just my $0.02 tho
cheers

Ipod is better than Zune except the fact that Itunes is the worst software I have ever seen...

Zen Vision M. Do your research before buying mp3 players! Ipod and the Zune are absolutely terrible when compared to the Zen and its features. Check it out and shop smart!

I wouldn't choose any of those.

I'm gonna wait and see what comes next. A slim goodlooking media player with longlasting battery life, huge bright touchscreen and loads of space.

I would go with the iPod. It sounds like the Zune comes with bundled software that is not necessary. I personally have the Zen Vision M 60GB but I myself will soon get the iPod Video 80GB version.

Ipods are boring now, too many ppl have them. Zune is also bad from what I hear. I personally don't like the navigation wheel thing on it and they are thicker than a current gen Ipod.

iPod is the only choice for me! I read up on both and iPod beats out zune in almost every catagory!
