I agree totally. It started by BT "life," per say. I only came to FST to find some old movies on TL - heard it was good.

But ehh, I always thought BitSoup was closed. It's like TB, where you can join only when they ban/prune an existing member.

Their speeds are normally slow.
The selection is good. They have alot of custom rips and custom content but the speeds suck donkey.

I still think its a pretty good site but the constant messages for $$$ get rather annoying.

To be honest, if you're members of sites like TL, RevTT, SCT, or FTN, you really don't have to join BitSoup. If you're a newbie looking for a good private tracker, then go for it.

TL has more than 170,000 users and you can still trade an invite there...

I have to agree, great selection, especially non-scene xvids, descent pretimes, but pretty slow sometimes.

They have a very generous donation upload credit system.

wow.. i realize bitsoup isn't THE BEST but ya'll are doing somethign wrong...
i get no pop ups, no pm's, no asking for moneys.. i only get the occasional announcement about some fake lottery... as for the speeds... i always get good speeds.. unless the s/l ratio is wacked.. but 99% of the time.. it's great..
the only difference between this site and revtt is amount of content and OVERALL speeds... and that's it...

I used to get daily pm's from them not anymore. They have gotten 1000% better w/ that I must say...They actually have good content and a dedicate group of uploaders w/ insane upload amounts, some well over 50tb's. On scene releases the speeds are allways descent..Like most sites they get the scene releases within an hour.

You can't compare pretime and speeds to RevTT, on RevTT my connection is usually maxxed out, which is over 1 megabyte a sec. I never got that on Bitsoup.

And I never got any annoying stuff from Bitsoup, only the occasional pm.

Bitsoup is quite good site. For movies good, but games with big size (for exampe >4 Gb) it is trouble, because in few days on premere on tracker, there are too much leechers then seeders, and speed is week.

check it ... for example Spider M... 3, on others trackers, there are more seeders then leechers, in bitsoup too much leechers ...:P

personally, i respect these kind of sites, where they open registrations for like once in a while, more than permanently closed or impossible to get-in trackers. i mean, filesharing WON'T be possible without anyone sharing.

i don't get your point about opening and closing, many high quality sites have the same policy, TB is open as long as the user amount is under 50,000, swebits is open when below userlimit as well, same as snowtigers and uknova, it's just how some sites work, some have invites, others have open signups when belowe user limit, and others (swebits) have both.
