Codecs and DirectShow filters are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video formats. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular audio and video formats and even some rare formats.

The K-Lite Mega Codec Pack combines the contents of three packs:

* K-Lite Codec Pack Full
* QuickTime Alternative
* Real Alternative

- Removed MMCompView
- Updated MusePack decoder to version 1.0.0.4
- Added RadLight OptimFROG audio decoder [version 1.0.0.1]
- Added CDDA Reader [version 1.0.0.1]
- Added CDXA Reader [version 1.0.0.1]

That's an excellent codec pack. I use the Mega version more than 1.5 year without any problems. It plays everything.
