A Friend should be radical,
They should love you
when you're unlovable,
Hug you when you're unhuggable,
And bear with you
when you're unbearable.

A Friend should be fanatical;
They should cheer
when the whole world boos,
Dance when you get good news,
And cry when you cry too.

But most of all,
A friend should be mathematical,
They should multiply the joy,
Divide the sorrow,

Subtract the past,
And add to tomorrow,
Calculate the need
deep in your heart,
And always be bigger
than the sum of all their parts.

Most famous Norwegian rock`n roll song goes like this:

If I where you- I would buy a beer for me

If I where you- I would get me totally pissed

I disagree.

Thats your prerogative......however if you can't
discuss the content your spamming.

Who wrote it it is not an issue within the poem......
If u want to know the Author u can use Google.....

It's generally accepted that if you want to discuss something in a serious manner then The Lounge isn't the place to do it. Try The Drawing Room, or Boookworld, or a more relevant part of the forum.

Anyway, if you really want to know it's the worst type of inane, greeting card drivel.

I don't know. You're the topic starter, therefore you decide what it is about. Since you have only quoted a poem into a thread and haven't given any guidelines on what to debate, one can only imagine it's an open invite to discuss anything at all.

I disagree with you on not stating who the author was. If you do not tell us who it was written by, the natural assumption is that the topic starter composed it themself.

Like JP says, if you want a proper discussion go to the Drawing Room and cut and paste your prose there instead. This isn't The Dead Poets Society love, it's the lounge and things do go off topic. You should be glad one of your threads was bumped and that someone was intrested in the same thing you felt compelled to make an entire new thread about.

Oh yeah, on that subject, how about you keep all the poems in one thread?
You're really spamming up the place.
