Hi my seedbox has great download speeds like 1.5MB/s but only uploads at around 80kbs how can i fix this

the seedbox im using is leeware and the torrent has 18 leechers and 80 seeders and im now getting 70kbs is this right or should i be getting more out of it?

no for leeware its normal.do u share with someone?

70 kbps is too low. I get more than 500 kB/s mostly. Sometimes it goes up to 1.5 MB/s.

Yeah go to some public tracker and grab the latest episode of something.
Then you will see what your box is capable of.

our box isn't broken. That seed/leech ratio is really high, I'm surprised you can get that high. I get can get ~3MB/s on some torrents.

It depends on the numbers of the leechers , how large is the number of the leechers , how speed you will upload to people .

what are you doing on a torrent with 80 seeders?!!! Only way to get good upload speed on such torrent is if it has 500 leechers!
Move on! Grab another torrent! One that you think will be popular, and be one of the first who jump on a torrent.

one my leewrae seedbox i've got an average up between 2 and 3 MB/s. My best is 7.2MB/s.

The only thing is i take only new torrents or torrent with few seeder (less than 5) and a lot of leecher (at least 15). The best torrent are the DVD-R (not a lot of people seed them) are recent X-VID.

And the 2 rules i apply :
- change constantly the torrent : when the ratio seed/leech become to big, are when the upload speed drop to lo
- don't neesserly dowload the torrent you want on your server, but only torrent with a low ratio seed/leech

public sites users do not usually have fast connections.
do what dieudesorcs said. grab the hottest torrent even if you don't want it, and if you think that there will be many seeders soon, just download part of it and seed that part.

at least pick a torrent that the peer is 3 times the seeds

Just take peoples advice that they gave me its all good for me now just get torrents with lots of leechers and ul be alright

Actually I am having troubles with mine. upload rarely over 1MB/s!
on first day of service I reached 5-6MB/s.
I think Lee somehow cap you if you use too much bandwidth!

yes me too, my maximum is only 7.2MB/s, but i have an average upload between 2.5 and 3.5 MB/s with 5 to 10 torrents seeding

provided that the torrent you are seeding on have many leechers and few seeders

i seed a torrent with 250 leechers and 5 seeders and i max 200kb/s my download speed is at maximum 1,9MB/s

it's because it has 3 letters of a level 10 tracker

By the way are you sure you are connectable?
One time the tracker showed that I was not connectable so I logged in to VNC and saw that I had a red icon in utorrent.
I changed the port number and stopped all the torrents and shut down utorrent and then I started it again and it was connectable again.

It's really 10Mbps, I tested it at all times of the day
Some people might be luckier and their boxes faster because they are sharing them with less aggressive torrenters
but mine is around 10Mbps

And please stop saying it's cheap, it's VPS and not dedicated server so compared to leaseweb 49 euro deal, leaseweb is actually cheaper

What are you gonna do with unlimited traffic if you can't reach 500? and why pay for 100Mbps when it's really 10 or less?

Believe me Lee is not giving servers away for charity, he is making a good deal of money from it and it's not that cheap
